The Party Season Is Here

We are now coming into the party months of the year with the silly season just around the corner.  And with a good party comes a lot of fun and usually some food and drinks spills.

Tips for liquid spills:

To clean up a liquid spill dab up the excess liquid with paper towels by placing them over the spill and applying light pressure with your hand to absorb the liquid upwards. (Do not stand on top of the area as this can stomp the liquid further down into the carpet pile and backing).  Renew paper towels as needed until they stop absorbing liquid, then lightly apply the appropriate stain removal as per the directions on the bottle.

Tips for food spills:

Use a butter knife to scrape all the solids off the carpet, working from the outside of the spill towards the centre, to avoid spreading the stain.  If any liquid is present use paper towels to absorb, then apply the appropriate stain removal product and follow the directions on the bottle.
